- All materials needed to print a 54 inch silk scarf and a bonus piece of wool that we will be demonstrating eco-printing with as well as wool felting on

Having worked with plants, botanical dyes, and natural fibers for the past 5 years I have learned this interesting process from friends, online workshops and experimenting.

I have concluded that botanical printing is not a science but an art form. There is no right or wrong to printing. But for best results there are certain techniques that will provide a good print and keep it colorfast. Mind you, this process is always full of surprises. You never really know what you will get when you unroll your bundle of dyed fabrics until the final “reveal”.

As a textile artist I am always excited about mark-making on fabric. Truly, botanical printing consistently provides richness and variety on the fabric which thrills and fascinates me.

This workshop will include materials, 1 silk scarf, leaves to print with, and handouts that explain the process from beginning to end including how to prepare your fabric before the printing process.
